What You Need to Bring if You're Selling Us
Your 10-Year Old (or Less) Junk Car

Louisiana law requires us to verify that the person who drops off and sells us a salvaged auto is the legal owner of the vehicle.

To do so, we’ll need you to bring a copy of your junk car’s Louisiana vehicle title, along with a Louisiana or government-issued photo ID, when you come to our Prairieville or Denham Springs location to prove you’re the owner of the car.

If you can’t find your car’s title or you’ve lost it, don’t worry.

You simply need to fill out Louisiana Vehicle Application Form DPSMV1799. Complete instructions can be found on this state webpage. Once the required form is completed and notarized, you can request your duplicate title either in person at your local OMV office or Express Lane. You can also mail in your completed and notarized form DPRSMV1799 and receive your duplicate vehicle title by mail if going to the OMV in person isn’t an option for you.
